DISTANCES 5 Mile Turkey Trail Trot (RUN) 3 Mile Pilgrim Promenade (WALK) 100 Meters Kid's Gobbler Chase       (Course may be subject to change under direction of San Francisco Department of Recreation & Parks)       CLICK HERE to view the entire 5-mile course covered in this 100-second time-lapsed video!     LOCATION Start and Finish at: Polo Field, Golden Gate Park San Francisco, CA     Polo Field on Google Maps     COURSE DESCRIPTION Cross Country style course.        Mostly flat course over natural terrain, including grassy meadows and dirt pathways/trails. Participants should be comfortable with running and walking on grass and off-road terrain. It's Nature at its Finest!    CLICK HERE FOR COURSE MAP     WHAT ABOUT THE BEACH? Two Words:  Snowy Plover.    The original Turkey BEACH Trot was held at Ocean Beach, from 2003-2006. Federal law now bans races at the beach, to protect the habitat of the endangered Snowy Plover.
